ASNLite is a standards-based, integrated solution that accelerates
development of WiMAX solutions, ideally suited for greenfield
operators, technology trials, rural, and low-density markets
with scalability potentials. It supports leading Commercial
Off-The-Shelf (COTS) servers/ATCA platforms. It provides a
comprehensive Command Line Interface (CLI) management toolkit
that enables easy manageability and supports connectivity
to multiple BSs and peer ASN Gateways.
Control Plane Features
The ASNLite product implements the following functions and protocols:
- Mobile Station (MS) Network Entry
- Authentication
- Address Allocation & Management
- Mobility & Handoff
- WiMAX Profile
- Multicast Support (IGMP Proxy for Subscriber Station (SS)/MSS)
Data Path Functions
- Switch MSS traffic (R6, GRE traffic) to HA (R3, MIP/ IPnIP Tunnel)
- Terminate signaling traffic from MSS/BS and HA, AAA
- Layer 3 routing for non tunneled traffic
- Multicasting*
- Data classification for self terminating traffic
- ACL and traffic management at per flow basis
- Support Handover for inter-BS and Intra-BS handover
