Aricent JSCE Striving to Achieve JAINs Vision
The JAIN Service Creation Environment (JSCE) is a set of
software interfaces that support and simplify fast creation
of portable telecommunications services. It uses Java Bean
based standard service primitives. It provides testing and
simulation of service in the same environment. Service Creation
allows the development of new service building blocks and
the assembly of services from these building blocks.
Aricent is striving to achieve the JAIN vision
through its JAIN based Service Creation Environment. Aricent SCE
enables Creation and customization of services and applications
quickly at lower costs, facilitating re-use of convergent
services across different networks such as Wireless, Wireline
(IP), PSTN, creating niche services for different vertical
industry segments and providing support for third party application
development.

Aricent SCE is being evolved for PARLAY compliance
The parlay group is defining the architecture for network
APIs and specification that allows external enterprises to
rapidly build and deploy applications that exploit the capabilities
of underlying network.
Parlay definition is independent of technology specific ways
and is expressed as the combination of text and Unified Methodology
Language (UML which makes it available for easy translation
to technologies such as CORBA IDL, JAVA and Microsoft MIDL.
