The Service Creation Environment (SCE) from Aricent
is an enabling solution for developing customer driven
convergent services for PSTN, Wireline (IP) and Wireless Networks.
The SCE delivers sustained customer value by facilitating
rapid development and maintenance of revenue generating services
at lower cost independent of underlying network technology.
It meets the requirements for end-to-end service creation
and integration for both proprietary as well as standards-based
Core Networks and application platforms.
The Aricent SCE' compliance to some of the key next generation
services requirements is enabled by its capability to:
- Create and customize services/ applications quickly at
lower costs
- Facilitate re-use of convergent services across different
networks (Wireless, Wireline(IP), PSTN)
- Create niche services for different vertical industry
segments
- Provide support for third- party application development
by abstracting difficult technology details
The SCE is being continuously evolved to support upcoming
standardization efforts for service creation and integration
such as Parlay, OSA and JAIN.
The SCE offers a broad suite of software tools to help a
service designer plan, develop, test, deploy and maintain
services in a fast, simple and flexible manner. Reuse of service
logic, a key requirement for rapid service creation is enabled
through an extensive set of Service-Independent Building Blocks
(SIBs), each having a pre-defined functionality along with
its attributes.
The Winning Edge
- Provides GUI-based programming environment to develop
and customize services based on Service Independent Building
Blocks (SIBs)
- Enables IN applications and call-related features for
all networking domains (using IN-CS1, IN-CS2, AIN0.2 based
SIBs); SIP, PINT, SPIRITS-based enhanced IP and IP-IN applications
for Wireline (IP) and PSTN domains; MAP, CAP (CAMEL) and
evolving MexE/SAT server-based enhanced wireless applications
- It can also enable unified communications through service
enabling components for Web, WAP, E-mail, SMS, LCS, Telephony
and Fax
- Provides support for third-party application development
by abstracting difficult technology details and capability
to let user define additional re-usable service blocks as
per evolving needs
Applications, Services, Features Support: The SCE can be
used by OEMs, application platform vendors, applications developers
and potentially service operators to create innovative services/
applications quickly.
