SMSC: Capabilities
Messaging
  • Message Priority - Ability to send messages of higher priority ahead of other messages differentiating service
  • Validity period definition - Period after which undelivered messages will be deleted from the queue
  • Mobile Terminated (and originated) Messages
  • Group Lists - Define list of Subscribers in a group, so as to enable sending SMS message to each group
  • Message delivery from file - Upload messages from a stored database. Key feature used in automatic notification of outstanding bill payment messages to defaulting mobile subscribers interfacing with Billing systems database
  • Filters - Set criteria for filtering messages based on User generating the message, Mobile Subscriber Identification Number, Priority, or combinations of these
  • Alert based retry - Automatic attempt to retry message delivery in the event of an Alert message from the MSC for undelivered conditions
  • Message delivery for multiple MSCs in network
  • Configurable number of simultaneous message delivery
Connectivity with Voice Mail Systems
  • Ability to notify the mobile subscriber of receipt of a message in his/her voice mail system. Custom interfaces need to be developed for the Voice mail system used in the network

  • Provide a display of email receipt to the mobile subscriber
