• Flexibility
  Our scalable solution architecture and business models offer to you the option to adopt the distributed or the centralized SMSC model. Aricent SMSC Framework 5.0 allows you to integrate a high performance cluster of inexpensive off-the-shelf computing components that take care of your whole networks requirements. Alternatively you can place these servers in each individual circle should you so choose to, for reasons of control and flexibility amongst others.
  
  
• Reliability, Resilience and Fault-Tolerance
  Aricent SMSC Framework 5.0 has a scalable architecture that can be configured with multiple systems over which the message, database and processing can be distributed. This means that it has no single point of failure. Thus allowing the SMSC to run in a multi-node environment with full load sharing, enabling you to add capacity while maintaining performance. In the event of a node failure, continued operation is provided by one of the other systems, which takes over the load of the failed node until it comes up.
  
  
• Service Differentiation
  The next time you need a specific upgrade or customized feature, to differentiate your service from competition, you need not wait for the next product release. We promise to do it for you, on demand. We have created the solution, and we are only a phone call away.
  
  
• Controlling Load and Resources
  You can regulate an SMSC throughput load by setting different message-submission limits for different circles. In the unlikely event of extreme overload the SMSC gives priority to mobile-terminated (versus submitted) messages, sends a negative acknowledgement to subscribers and then proceeds to free up capacity. You can trace messages through the system to determine bottlenecks and troubleshoot.
  
  
• Scalability
  Your requirement of less than 100K bhsm is met by our entry-level installation. The same solution can grow to more than 500K Bhsm, thus preserving all your existing investment. The
  solution grows through the upgrade of software and through clustering of multiple low cost high reliability chassis to extract value for the money invested.
