The IPv6 Host is a host-specific implementation of the next-generation Internet Protocol version 6, complying with the relevant RFCs and Internet drafts. The major components of the software are IPv6 Addressing Features, Path MTU Discovery, Neighbor Discovery (ND6), ICMPv6, UDP over IPv6 (UDP6), Transition Mechanisms for IPv6 (Tunnel), NETIPv6, MLD, RTM6 and the Ping6 Utility. The IPv6 solution reduces the time-to-market for OEMs and VARs who wish to incorporate the IPv6 host functionality into their switching/routing devices.
