The RADIUS software is the client implementation of the IETF RFC 2138 and the accounting procedures, as specified in the RFC 2139. RADIUS is a protocol for authentication, authorization, and accounting for a user session with the remote server. The RADIUS solution packetizes the authentication and accounting information received from users and sends it to the designated server. The solution then consults and updates management data (RADIUS Client MIBs). The RADIUS solution does not support the Backup server operation. The RADIUS solution reduces the time to market for OEMs and VARs.
