Newport Networks has deployed Hughes Software System's (HSS)
SIP & Megaco technology in its MediaProxy+ 1460 session
controller.
Disclosing this today, HSS said this partnership combines
its proven expertise in providing standards complaint signaling
protocols with the high performance and resilient media stream
processing provided by the carrier class Newport Networks
MediaProxy+ 1460.
"HSS's SIP stake technology provides telecom equipment
manufacturers and application stack vendors with a rich set
of APIs that enable development of a niche VoP application",
said Manoranjan Mahopatra, executive vice-president and chief
operating officer of HSS.
"Newport Networks provides the critical enabling technology
for future IP based voice and multimedia services," he
added.
