Kineto Wireless and Hughes Software Systems partner to Accelerate
Mobile over Wireless LAN Service Deployment

Kineto Wireless (Kineto), a key innovator and leading supplier
of Mobile over Wireless LAN (MoWLAN) solutions, today announced
that it has selected world-class GPRS Stack technology from
Hughes Software Systems (HSS), a specialist in convergence
market place providing solutions for VoP, SS7, Broadband and
Wireless. Kineto will incorporate HSS' GPRS Stack in Kineto's
INC-5501, the key component behind the Kineto MoWLAN solution.
HSS' GPRS Stack will help ensure seamless interoperability
of the INC-5501 with existing core mobile network equipment
deployed by service providers globally.
The companies have also announced a joint demonstration of
the Kineto MoWLAN solution working together with HSS' GSN
equipment at Booth H9, Hall3 at the 3GSM World Congress show
in Cannes, France, from February 23-26.
MoWLAN solutions enable service providers to leverage VoIP
and WLAN technologies to deliver high-performance mobile voice
and data services indoors at significantly lower cost than
existing mobile network technologies. By deploying a MoWLAN
solution, service providers can allow their subscribers to
roam seamlessly between mobile networks and WLANs with a single
handset for voice and data services. As a result, subscribers
can now use their mobile phone as their main communications
device, and fixed and mobile service providers can maximize
their revenue potential and profitability from subscriber's
increased use of the mobile phone.
