Flextronics Software Systems and FutureSoft launch Enhanced Security Solution
(Certification from ICSA Labs; Available on Intel IXP425)

San Jose, 4th May 2005: Flextronics Software Systems and FutureSoft, a Flextronics company, have announced the general availability of their advanced software solution for security equipment, the Enhanced Security Solution (ESS). The Enhanced Security Solution is built from a base of stand-alone protocol components and offers a highly modular and portable architecture that can be customized to meet the requirements of the Small & Medium Businesses (SMB) and Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) market segments. It will enable swift development of secure routers & switches, offering an accelerated time-to-market advantage for network security equipment manufacturers.

The Enhanced Security Solution software is a comprehensive security software solution, combining VPN (IPSec/PPTP/L2TP) capability, an ICSA-certified stateful firewall, NAT routing, intrusion prevention and content filtering. For encryption, it offers superior AES and Triple DES encrypted throughput. The Firewall's flexible architecture enables additional content inspection applications to be seamlessly integrated into the solution. The SPI Firewall is certified by ICSA Labs.

The ESS also offers a host of advantages such as:

• Platform flexibility - the solution is a standards-compliant implementation and platform independent, thus offering integration with various security processors.
• Feature flexibility - the solution's modular architecture makes it easier for the OEM to add and remove features based on target feature requirements.
