Flextronics Software Systems Integrates FutureSoft
Data Communication Products into Existing Products Portfolio
New Delhi, 4 October 2005 - Flextronics Software Systems
(FSS), formerly Hughes Software Systems, a leader in telecommunication
signaling protocols, toolkits and frameworks, announced today
that it will include data communication offerings from FutureSoft
in its portfolio.
FSS significantly expands its portfolio by this move and
positions itself as a single source for telecom and data-com,
voice and wireless infrastructure software products.
FutureSoft, a subsidiary of Flextronics International, is
a prominent vendor in the switching, routing and security
software and a pioneer in developing datacom protocol stacks.
FutureSoft's portfolio includes OEM-ready software offerings
for Ethernet switching & routing, Enterprise Security and
Wireless LAN switching, in addition to individual protocol
stacks.
This move will not change the existing business model, pricing
or support systems for customers but will enable an increasing
number of customers to benefit from the complete set of products
being offered by the company.
FSS is now also offering the following pre-integrated, OEM
ready, advanced solutions for the switching and security segments:
The Enhanced Security Solution - ESS software
is OEM-Ready, enterprise security software solution, combining
VPN (IPSec/PPTP/L2TP) capability, an ICSA-certified stateful
firewall, NAT routing, intrusion prevention and content filtering.
The Intelligent Switching Solution - ISS
software is OEM-Ready, Layer-2/3 Ethernet switching software
solution that also has complete IPv6 and Chassis
System support.
The portfolio also includes individual Layer 2 switching,
Layer 3 routing, WAN access and security stacks offerings,
including IPv6 offerings (BGP4+, OSPFv3, RIPng). These solutions
are already deployed in a large number of top-tier customers’
products, and integrated with a variety of operating systems
and chipsets.
