Flextronics Software Systems launches Diameter Solution for IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS)

Gurgaon, India, 8 September 2006 - Flextronics Software Systems (FSS), the global leader in communications software, today announced the availability of its Diameter Solution. The Diameter Solution is a compelling offering for telecommunications equipment manufacturers and application developers seeking to create sophisticated charging and self-profiling software for IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS).

FSS' Diameter Solution is a standards-compliant, off-the-shelf signaling solution. The multi-protocol Diameter Solution framework features a unique, distributed architecture that enables high capacity and fault tolerance. It offers external API support for ease-of-use and a modular design that ensures optimized parsing and easy adoption into any host system software architecture. The FSS Diameter Solution can support several thousand sessions per second on a single server, which reduces total cost of ownership, controls congestion, and allows upgrades on live systems. The Diameter Solution also complies with IETF standards, 3GPP Release 6 Specifications and all necessary interfaces, including Ro/Rf, Cx, Dx and Sh. FSS Diameter customers also benefit from flexible APIs for Java applications and enhanced application interfaces for 3GPP and TISPAN.
