Flextronics Software Systems Demonstrates Mobile Multimedia for TI’s OMAP2430
- FSS introduces HipMedia™ Suite of mobile
applications for the latest TI OMAP™ 2 application processor
Barcelona, 9 February 2006 - Flextronics Software Systems
(FSS) today announced the first public demonstration of the
FSS HipMedia™ Suite for the Texas Instruments Incorporated's
(TI's) OMAP2430 application processor. HipMedia Suite provides
a full range of multimedia applications for 3G phones based
on the latest addition to the TI OMAP™ 2 family of application
processors.
The FSS HipMedia Suite for OMAP2430 is targeted at 3G mobile
phones and handheld devices, allowing downloadable media streaming
and playback, digital video recording, still image capture,
video teleconferencing and mobile digital TV. The FSS HipMedia
Suite provides applications which offer consumers a full mobile
multimedia experience with support for the latest media formats
such as H.264, MPEG-4, Microsoft Windows Video and Audio and
eAAC+. Additionally, Flextronics Software Systems has the
expertise to customize the applications to meet the brand
requirements of handset manufacturers and network operators.
