SwiftBill, the Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment
(EBPP) solution developed by HSS' Internet Development Center
at Bangalore can be used by service providers such as telephone
companies, banks, utility companies and insurance companies
to present recurring bills to their customers on the Internet.
The SwiftBill framework can be customised and integrated
with existing systems for individual customers. The solution
includes payment handlers for various popular payment methods
such as credit cards and e-checks.
The SwiftBill presentment system supports on-line targeted
marketing which can be used by the service providers to cross-sell
and up-sell products and services. This is an easy to use
and standards based solution that can significantly cut down
the cost of presenting bills to the customer while facilitating
the payment process.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Arun Kumar, President &
Managing Director, HSS,"SwiftBill marks the entry
of HSS into the emerging segment of e-commerce softwares.
This is a logical extension of our skills and strengths in
catering to various demands of the telecom OEM segment as
well as internet and convergent service providers."
HSS solution is based on object component technology that
exposes a set of interfaces for customization and integration.
It is a secure, robust and scalable solution. The solution
supports open industry standards and is interoperable with
OFX clients and servers.
SwiftBill has an object based "plug-in" architecture.
This allows for adding features incrementally and integrating
with other systems such as different payment systems and call
centers. System provides an easily customizable interface
for integration with existing billing systems," said
Mr. N. Madhusudan Reddy, general manager, Internet Development
Center, HSS.
