Hughes Software Systems offers 3GPP Release 4 Application Solutions for IP based Wireless Networks
Announces Development of 3GPP Release 5 Compliant Stacks

January 27 2003, New Delhi, India - Hughes Software Systems, world leaders and specialists in convergent network software, added to its growing list international standards based protocol stacks by introducing Release 4 compliant versions of its MAP (Mobility Application Part), CAP (CAMEL Application Part) and RANAP (Radio Access Network Application Part) stacks. These stacks enable equipment vendors, test and measurement tool vendors, and application developers to develop solutions for RNC (Radio Network Controller), SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node), MSC (Mobile Switching Center), HLR (Home Location Register), and Application servers. A unique differentiation is the integrated support of these stacks over SS7 as well as SIGTRAN, providing truly converged solutions that can run over ATM, T1/E1 or IP.
