Aricent , offers the following integrated software development services in the WiMAX domain:
- Technical Consultancy: Aricent has
in depth domain expertise in providing technical consultancy
in conceptualization, architecture, and design of the ASN
Gateway. Aricent helps customers meet the requirements of performance,
scalability, and extensibility. Prior experience with various
customers in the WiMAX and 3G domains provides Aricent with
a unique ability to share the best practices and thoughts
to attain industry leadership through technical excellence.
- Product Development Services: Aricent
provides development services for the Data plane as well
as Control plane for the ASN Gateway and the BS. Leveraging
its vast experience in the field of Network Processors,
such as Intel, Wintegra, AMCC, Freescale, and Agere, Aricent
has developed core expertise in implementing fast path functionality
in ASN Gateways. In addition, Aricent offers SigASN,
the signaling framework of a WiMAX ASN Gateway, to implement
the signaling plane associated with the ASN Gateway. In
order to provide a complete system offering, Aricent provides
design and development services for the system modules,
such as embedded management (CLI, SNMP, and Web), logging,
and startup. Aricent also provides Board Support Package (BSP)
and driver development expertise on various OS platforms
to enable the complete system. Please refer the illustration below.
- Integration Services: By virtue
of having a strong expertise in the Fast and Slow paths,
Aricent is well aware of the technical issues involved in integrating
the two planes. Integration services offered by Aricent include
WiMAX signaling stack integration (in-house or third party),
system-level integration, and multi-vendor integrations
services. Aricent has worked with various Network Processor
vendors, such as Intel, Wintegra, Agere, and AMCC, and has
expertise in defining the methodology to perform an effective
and quick integration of the fast path with the control
plane to enable rapid time-to-market. Please refer the illustration above.
- Comprehensive Testing Services:
Aricent provides comprehensive testing services for the testing
of the ASN Gateway. These testing services include Test
Engineering and Consulting, Test Execution, Test Automation,
and Multi-Vendor Interoperability and Testing services.
These services are applicable to the Fast path as well as
to the Control plane. Please refer the illustration above.
- Interoperability of the ASN Gateway
with Base Station, AAA, and HA Servers: Aricent, with its
extensive interworking and interoperability testing experience,
offers ASN Gateway interface integration with multiple interfaces
provided by multiple vendors, on the network as well as
the Base Station (BS) side. These interface integrations
include the interface to connect to the Authentication,
Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) and the Home Agent (HA)
servers, the interface to communicate with other ASN Gateways,
and the interface towards the BSs.
