With the convergence of telecom infrastructure and the need
to establish healthy revenue streams through new services
and billing models the need for a robust and flexible mediation
system is now like never before. The Aricent Mediation
System comprising of the Billing Mediation System (BMS) for
usage record collection and processing and Service Provisioning
Platform (SPP) for service activation enables faster launch
of new services. The Aricent Mediation system supports Wireless
(GSM & CDMA), traditional Wireline, Satellite and Next Generation
networks.
The Aricent Mediation System provides a congruent view of usage
data from a network with disparate network components, supporting
divergent technologies, using which Telecom Operators can
offer value added services to customers, deriving profitable
revenue from the network.
The Aricent Mediation System has a modular architecture and supports
convergent prepaid and postpaid services. The Mediation System
simplifies the development of interfaces to network elements
and design to ensure that the 'Total Cost of Ownership' remains
low. The flexible architecture enables distributed as well
as centralised implementation and the Mediation system allows
the introduction of very specialised enhanced processing functions.
