Aricent's Open Service Architecture (OSA)-compliant SIP B2BUA
Framework is a powerful and flexible SIP Application Server
solution, that provides standards-compliant core SIP functionalities
over which applications, such as Push-To-Talk (PTT), Instant
Messaging, Multimedia Conferencing, Call Parking, Call Pick-Up,
Prepaid, Voice Mail & Unified Messaging, and Hunt Groups can
be built in minimal time frames to gain time-to-market advantage.
Aricent's SIP B2BUA Framework provides application developers
a platform that enables them concentrate on their core competence
- developing applications - while it takes care of lower-level
message transactions.
In addition, the B2BUA Framework enables Service Providers
roll out Next Generation applications by providing reusable
components that facilitate easy addition of new applications
through its open APIs.
Apart from ensuring compliance with the existing OSA APIs,
Aricent's SIP B2BUA Framework has additional APIs to enable
application developers build advanced applications. These
additional APIs include:
- High availability APIs to enable the application back
up serialized critical data and re-construct the state based
on the same. These APIs allow application developers to
develop a true 'high-availability' system
- APIs to send SUBSCRIBE, NOTIFY, MESSAGE, and other proprietary
SIP messages, that allow the development of presence-based
applications
- Chat applications APIs to move call-legs from one call
to another, to allow the development of applications, such
as Call Pick-Up
A market leader in the SIP software domain, Aricent has deployed
the SIP B2BUA Framework for several leading tier 1 and tier
2 Telecom organizations. For the last three years, Aricent's
SIP B2BUA Framework has been winning the 'Product of the Year'
award presented by organizations, such as Internet Telephony
and Communications Solutions.

The SIP B2BUA Framework's value to application developers
also stems from:
- Considerable reduction in time-to-market through usage
of ready-to-deploy components
- 'Plug and Play' architecture, which enables runtime extensions
- Reusable components that provide basic building blocks
- Total control over the complete C++ source code
- Single platform to deploy SIP Application Servers, 3G
Servers, and Core Proxies
- Aricent's continued commitment to standards compliance
as well as its robust support infrastructure
