Aricent’s MicroSIP User Agent Toolkit-a highly optimized, low footprint product, is the ideal fit for such applications because it is targeted towards low footprint/memory devices, such as IP Phones, Handsets, PDAs, Mobile-phones, Media Gateways, and Smart-phone devices. The toolkit provides compile time options for the applications to select the mandatory libraries, which it needs to use to reduce footprint.

Built over Aricent’s Micro SIP Stack, the MicroSIP User Agent Toolkit handles SIP functionality through its SIP Call State Machine. The SIP Call State Machine handles message state validations, form responses, and performs SDP media matching. In this manner, the SIP Call State Machine abstracts the application developer from implementing all nuances of the protocol needed to build a complete application.
