M2PA Stack Current Release

The current shipping release of Flextronics Software Systems M2PA is Rel 4.0 compliant and is uniquely positioned to meet the Functional and Performance needs of Next Generation Networks.

Feature list includes

  • Compliant to M2PA IETF Draft Version 06 <draft-ietf-sigtran-m2pa-06.txt>
  • Function Based, Socket Based, and Message Based Interface support with SCTP
  • Higher Parallelism for faster data transfer
  • Support for both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
  • Heuristic based Transmit Congestion Indication Mechanism
  • Client, connect reattempt at M2PA level
  • Client Server model per link basis

Ports Available

All Flextronics Software Systems (formerly HSS) stacks including M2PA stacks are based on Flextronics Software Systems AAPE™ Architecture, according to which all platform (both operating system and hardware) specific interactions are wrapped to a single module. With this effort to port core stack code to a different platform is significantly reduced. On an average it takes less that a couple of weeks to port and test stack code to a new platform. M2PA stack code is available for following Operating Systems.

  • Linux ( Kernel version 2.4.5 )
  • SunOS (Version 2.5 and over)
  • VxWorks (Version 5.4.2)

Conformance

M2PA protocol stack was tested against a detailed test plan for validating the conformance to various mandatory and optional M2PA features. This document is fully conforming IETF draft Sigtran-m2pa Version 06

Interoperability

Tested the interoperability of its software stack with other vendors at the Interoperability event held at ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) facilities, Sophia Antipolis, France in September 2003.

Performance

Optimization of software stack for memory and processing power requirement is an ongoing activity. For a detailed performance report contact us at support@flextronicssoftware.com
